In the spirit of fresh starts, all things new, and a desire for change, I’ve decided to have a bit of a contest on the old blog.
We digi scrappers have a really bad habit about keeping our lovely layouts hidden in our computers, far, far away from would-be admirers. I think it’s about time to change that! Usually, I view a layout as “finished” when I get it uploaded and credited properly in a gallery. Well, no more! I want “finished” to be “printed”! So, in an effort to spread this fervor around, I’m giving away a gift certificate for 6 layouts from PrintMyKeepsake.com.

The price is really amazing and it’s nice to have a company offering this service that has been in the “scrap biz” for quite some time. It just feels all nice and cozy over there.
So, after you check out the site, leave me a little comment here on this post. And to spice it up a bit, try posting how many digital layouts you have yet to print out (I know…scary, right?!?!). My count is around 50 and that’s ONLY because my other hard drive is ruined…if I was counting that, I’d have at least 200. Yikes!
So, here are the deets: Visit printmykeepsake.com, tell me what you think and post your unprinted layout “guestimate” (or the actual number!) on this post by the 25th of January. The winner will receive a gift certificate for 6 layouts in a single order with free shipping (in the USA) from www.printmykeepsake.com. The winner will also receive a $10 gift certificate to my shop at Oscraps.com and a SongbirdAvenue gift card.
So what are you waiting for?!?!

I was browsing the kits and I like that you get a coupon code for a free 12×12 print when you buy a kit at the site. I have 57 layouts I counted that need printed. I jsut started digiscrapping in July 2007 so I haven’t printed a layout yet. I didn’t realize I’d scrapped that many pages so far.

Hey, what a neat idea. The website looks really easy to use. They only do 12×12 prints though, right? I’ve never printed anything that big before. My number is 352 over the last 3 years. I’ve only printed 30 pages during that time. Crazy, huh? I really need to get a move on. My kids have no idea I’ve made so many pages of them. Thanks for the wake up call!

i hardly ever print pages, unless they are part of a gift, like an insert in a tumbler or something. but i also have an ABC book for my son i printed at shutterfly – and a calendar! so probably it’s something like 50 LOs i don’t have printed. the site looks interesting tho.

Hey Jan, I’ve only printed out about 10 pages and need to print about 20 right now. I have one to put into a 12 x 12 frame in my daughters room. Great website – thanks for sharing. Great contest.

This company is just what I’m looking for. I can’t print 12×12’s myself. I want to do some wall hangings and a scrapbook.
I have about 250 layouts never printed. (I know, that’s more than one scrapbook!)

Hi Jan, I only have about 10-15 layouts to print right now. That’s only because I gave myself the awesome Christmas gift of printing the good majority of my layouts. It was so much fun to organize and finally get them into albums. Thanks for having such a fun contest!! It sure makes we want to stay on top of printing my pages.

The site looks fun. I didn’t realize that they printed layouts. Well, since I usually just end up printing for gifts, I have yet to print any of my layouts over the last 3 years….meaning I probably have about 300-400 to print. Although, I probably won’t print many from my first year since I’ve improved so much! Have a great day!

Um….I think I have more than 250 from 2007 alone…….I’ve done 18 alone, this month, and I really haven’t printed any of my layouts….and well….I’ve got quite a collection……
I need a “kick in the butt” to get started printing.

I’m actually doing “decently” with printing- I have about 20 that I need to print off, but since my computer crashed (and, like you, I’ve lot a handful from that- that I hadn’t backed up yet! arrgghhhh!!!), I’ve been a lagger on that!
I just peaked in on the site and I think it’s a great one! They offer printing and some really great layered template pages that are super cute (I love the Why I Chose You page- and 10 bucks for 6 isn’t too bad, especially with a free 12×12!!!) I watched the tutorial, too, just to see how they explained the templates, and they did a great job- I think a non-digi person would do well with the instructions they gave. Good find, Jan!! Thanks for sharing that one with us!

Looks like a another great option for printing pages, Jan!
The templates are pretty cute too! I’m very guilty of not printing my layouts as well….I’ve been at this since 2005 and have only printed a few albums for other people, nothing that’s mine. I currently have 267 pages in my “to be printed” folder. WOW I think I’ll need to win the lottery!!
I’m so sorry to hear you had a hard drive fail….I’d be tempted to give up forever if I lost all of that work. I need to be better about getting my pages printed….I feel the same as you though with the “finished” product being an upload to the galleries. LOL
Hope you’re having a great weekend!
T.
P.S. Just wanted to add a little “you rock” note to this- I always love the Songbird Avenue kits think you’re doing SUCH a good and heartwarming thing for so many through that site. Kudos to you, girl.

As usual you are outdoing yourself with your generosity lady and I agree with Kimberly–Mandy R NEEDS to win!!
I actually do pretty well printing out my stuff (I only have 15 or so that I need to print) since I have a local hookup here at Polka Dot Potato, but this site definitely has some great stuff on it. I would LOVE to sign up for that Divide and Conquer class! Thanks for the inspiration!

Wow that site looks great! I like that the paper is heavier and the price is pretty great too.
I have been “saving up” to get a Shutterfly book, so I really have only printed a couple of LOs that were gifts for framing. It would be great to print those early ones and place them in the 12×12 album I have to finish it off!! I have 94 LOs to print…yikes I had no idea how many there were now. Thanks for the nudge:)
